Glacial Lake Near Canmore, Alberta

The intense blue color of the water is real, not a manipulation in software. The color is caused by the way light refracts when it strikes the fine rock flour from glaciers that is suspended in the water. Photo taken from a helicopter with the Nikon D5 and the Nikkor 28-80mm zoom in shutter priority mode at 1/8000th of a second.
