Welcome! My name is Bob Rehak. I began my career in the advertising business in Chicago more than 40 years ago. While primarily a writer, I have had a lifelong passion for photography.
I spent four years documenting street life in a Chicago neighborhood called Uptown during the mid-1970s. During the 1980s and 1990s, I developed an interest in landscape and wildlife photography. The work on this site represents some of my favorite images.
I also spent 45 years working in advertising and marketing communications for some of the leading agencies in Chicago, Dallas and Houston. One of those was Rehak Creative Services which became one of the top ten agencies in the Southwest. In 2017, I retired shortly before Hurricane Harvey struck Houston. Unfortunately, the flood associated with Harvey wiped out the remaining copies of Uptown: Portrait of a Chicago Neighborhood in the Mid-1970s.

The images on this site represent just a handful of the tens of thousands of shots I have taken in each category through the years.
Most of my time lately is spent blogging about flood mitigation.
