I took this shot on September 3, 1975 at 4537 North Sheridan, just south of Wilson. These two women were enjoying the sunny day. One had her legs dangling on the outer edge of the balcony so that she could talk to people passing by. Enlargement will show a sombrero in the window of the barber shop at ground level. This block was populated largely by Hispanic people in that era. Google Maps Street View shows that the building is still there today. However, the shops at street level have changed and trees have been planted in front of the building. A grocery store has replaced the barber shop.
