The man on the right in this image was the object of protest at a rally in Uptown in 1976. Many in the crowd alleged that he was a slumlord. He was there to protest the protestors. You have to give him credit for showing up and at least stating his case. I’m not sure who the fellow on the left is, the one with the sunglasses. He looks like a body guard. The look that the man on the right shot me is priceless. I was a young freelancer with a Nikon. He was there to talk to television crews. He looked at me, annoyed, as if to say, “Who the f@ck are you?” Frankly, he and his spook gave me the chills…which is precisely what many people at the rally were alleging regarding their thermostats.
