It seems everyone in Chicago during 1970s had a favorite barbecue joint. You would rate the ribs by how many days you could taste the sauce under your fingernails. This was one of several Bar-B-Q joints in Uptown that I photographed during this era. The name (Daniel Boones) may have been designed to the large contingent of people from Appalachia who lived in Uptown at the time.
