In 1984, Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, and Sigourney Weaver starred in a hit movie called Ghostbusters. At the climax of the movie, the streets of New York open up and swallow a cop car and the stars. Perhaps the gremlins in the movie were inspired by this bulging street in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood a decade earlier. I’m not quite sure what would cause concrete to bulge up like this. One curious person after another stopped to investigate the supernatural phenomenon. Only in Uptown!
