Teenagers came from all over Chicago and its suburbs to go to rock concerts at the Aragon in Uptown. These young men had been waiting in the cold for 24 hours to get prime seats for a Blue Oyster Cult concert on December 26, 1975. Many in the crowd were high on drugs or alcohol. When I showed up with my camera, as you can see from the crowd’s reaction, I created momentary relief from the bone-numbing cold and mind-numbing boredom of waiting in line.
