This shot was taken on Lawrence at Winthrop in December of 1975, diagonally across the street from the Aragon Entertainment Center. Note that at this time you could still buy regular (leaded) or unleaded gasoline. Today, the property is a parking lot. The E-Z Go Gasoline Company still does business, but it appears they’re no longer in Illinois. They now market in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska.
