I photographed this couple near the corner of Winthrop and Ainslie in March of 1976. He was a Latin King who went by the street name of Pinhead. She was his girlfriend. This is part of a sequence of shots that I took of them with my brand new motor drive. It allowed me to shoot much faster than manually advancing the film after every frame. As a result, I took about 20 shots of this couple in variations on this embrace. They seemed genuinely in love with each other. Sadly, I learned from their daughter (who was an infant at the time), that both died when she was just a baby.
