I photographed this Uptown father and his kids in 1976. They lived on Winthrop, just north of Ainslie. This was a tough place to raise children at the time. There was a lot of gang activity in the neighborhood. The Harrison Gents and Latin Kings were the two dominant forces.
The members of this family were frequent subjects of mine. For whatever reason, we struck up a friendship. They were very gregarious for the most part, but the young boy always seemed lost in thought. If anyone knows what the children are doing today, please let me know.
