I can hear the wife now. “Honey, Will you take out the trash?” And I can hear his response. “Yes dear. Anything for you.” It’s a perfect picture of passive-aggressive marital bliss in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood during the mid-1970s. Who says people in Uptown didn’t have a sense of humor? And New York thought it had a garbage crisis during this era!
