I took this shot in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood on Sunnyside before the street was turned into a pedestrian mall. This young man belonged to the Gaylord gang. His nickname was Hound Dog. I’m not sure what the package in his hands is, but he was very nervous while I was photographing him. He kept looking back and forth. Sunnyside had not yet been gentrified in those days. Note how one of the windows behind him had been punched out.
