I call this shot “Husband and Wife.” But I almost named it, “Man and Wife.” Luckily, I caught myself. That comes from being married to a feminist since the time I took these pictures in Uptown. However, “Man and Wife” was the term that 99% of priests used when marrying people back in the Mid-1970s. Just out of frame to the right was another woman whom the man also introduced as his wife. Neither of the women seemed to mind. I’m still trying to figure out how the two-wife thing worked or if they were just kidding me. When I asked for an explanation, they just smiled.
