I took this photo which I call “Hustlers-N-Gangsters” near Winthrop and Ainslie in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood in 1975. It was part of a mural that the Almighty Harrison Gents and Almighty Latin Kings jointly maintained. The part about “It had to be proven again,” probably referred to a fight with some other gang. The Kings and Gents were at peace with each other at that point in time. I have been told by a reader that they later went to war with each other in the 1980s.
