I found this Jehovah’s Witness at Wilson and Broadway distributing Watchtower magazines at the corner of Wilson and Broadway in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood. The year was 1975. This view is looking Southwest across the intersection. I do not know how the Jehovah’s Witness lost his leg. There was so much suffering in Uptown during the 1970s, that people like this man and the Black Panthers found many who would listen to them.
