These three boys belonged to a Hungarian family that lived near Wilson and Magnolia. All three were fascinated by karate and constantly practiced their skilled on each other. Note the plaids and stripes in their clothing. These were quite common at the time. I’m not sure what we’re wearing today that will look bizarre 40 years from now, but I can promise you there will be something. Also notice their shoes. The closest thing that existed at the time to what we now now as “athletic shoes” was tennis shoes. Nikes didn’t become popular until the late 1970s. This photo was taken in the winter of 1974/75.
