By the mid-1970s, the march of redevelopment up Chicago’s North Side had reached Uptown. New high rises were being built along Lake Shore Drive, especially in the Southern part of the neighborhood, near Lakeview. I took this shot with a 500 mm mirror lens from Cricket Hill in Lincoln Park. I’m sure the lakefront views were as spectacular as the prices.
