This is a portion of a larger mural painted jointly by the Latin Kings and Harrison Gents in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood in the mid-1970s. Graffiti littered walls everywhere during that period. I know of several instances where the property owners encouraged kids to paint murals because they were an improvement over random tagging.
