This is a close up of the tool shed shown in the previous shot. It shows log-cabin construction techniques, specifically how logs were notched to interleave with each other.No nails were needed…except perhaps to hang tools like those shown here. Sometimes, people would pack the holes between the logs with much to block out the wind. If the mud washed out, there was no need to go to Home Depot. You just packed more in. This shot was also taken just west of the Smokies.
