It began with the hippie movement, spread to Vietnam War protesters and became a cultural icon for youth. “Hair” even became a hit musical in 1968. This Latin King fit right in the Age of Aquarius with his “long, down-to-there hair.” Long hair remained fashionable well into the 1980s.
