This is another photo taken on Christmas Day of 1974 inside the apartment of a Hungarian family that lived at 1248 Wilson in Chicago’s Uptown Neighborhood. There were at least 10 kids in this family. All the boys were into martial arts, such as karate and judo. As one of the youngest boys, this one was constantly being used for “practice.” He was constantly being flipped and kicked. The brothers had a lot of pent up energy on this day and were eager to demonstrate their karate moves for the camera. That might explain why this young man looked as though he were haveing a not so merry Christmas.
