This great egret was flying toward me when it suddenly banked to its right. I call the photo “Overshadowed” because it cast a giant shadow over me, like some prehistoric pterodactyl. One can only imagine the fear it must inspire in prey. Taken with the Nikon D4 and 800mm f5.6 Nikkor lens.
