Some of the best dressed people in Uptown, Chicago, during the 1970s were the postal carriers. Compared to many of the people he served, this postal carrier looked quite sharp with his badge, cap and uniform. Over the years, the post office regulations for wearing uniforms and the uniforms themselves have changed frequently. Carriers in my neighborhood now no longer even wear uniforms.
