When I took this shot in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood in the early spring of 1975, this couple had just left one of the many liquor stores on Wilson Avenue. They were ready to party with a large bottle of wine. The thing that amazes me about this shot is that everyone is wearing heavy coats except the man carrying the bottle of wine. Perhaps he had gotten a head start on the festivities.
