When I look back over my contact sheets from this era, I am constantly struck by the different feelings expressed by young and old people. The young were usually much more happy, optimistic open and energetic. This smiling girl certainly fit that mold. If she hadn’t been in Uptown, she could have been in Vogue. Sadly, a reader wrote me recently to say that this woman has passed.
