This woman had just come from a dance class. She’s still wearing her toe shoes. When I asked if I could take her picture, she struck this playful pose like the prima ballerina in a street ballet. The photo was taken in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood at Sheridan and Broadway in December, 1975.
