Images like this were common on the streets of Uptown in the mid-1970s. While scanning film yesterday, I came across three similar images in the first ten rolls. During the night, thieves stripped the vehicle. They took its hubcaps, tires, wheels, mirrors, battery and dignity. Mercifully, they also stole the windshield wipers so the police couldn’t leave a ticket on the windshield for an expired parking meter.
