This man frequently hung out in a laundromat near Sheridan and Wilson in Uptown during the mid-1970s. I  observed before that he liked the warmth of the place and the fact that he had a semi-captive audience to talk to. Here, he’s giving this ticklish young girl a little laugh. Her mother was out of frame behind me. There was nothing inappropriate going on. I can’t help but wonder if such touching today would merit a call to the police.
