Uptown in the mid-1970s was a remarkably diverse neighborhood. People of all races lived there together, most often in harmony. Here, people who lived in the same apartment building on Winthrop got together for dinner, some beers, some conversation and some pics. The two kids in the middle belong to the African-American couple on the left.
