I found this woman waiting for the bus at Leland and Broadway. She was loaded down with a giant shopping bag. We chatted for a few minutes, then the Broadway bus pulled up and took her away before I could learn anything about her. One of the things I loved about photographing the people of Uptown is that they were so open and friendly. During the four years I photographed in Uptown, only a handful of people refused to let me take their pictures.
