This mother great egret and her two young chicks were waiting for carryout. Shortly after I took this shot, the male returned to the nest and started feeding the hungry chicks (I guess it would be poor form to call them ravenous) with fish it had caught. Photo taken with the Nikon D4s, 800mm f.56 Nikkor and 2x teleconverter from approximately 50 yards away using manual focus.
