I found this young man playing with a water balloon in front of his apartment building in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood in the mid-1970s. He was part of a large Hungarian family that lived here. All the boys in the family were into martial arts. But as one of the smallest of the brood, he was often the one who was flipped and kicked. Note his cowboy boots. Westerns were very popular at the movies and on television during this era.
