In 1975, long before the Internet had been invented, porn was purveyed through adult movie theaters like the Festival near Sheridan and Irving Park in Uptown. Theaters like this disappeared in many cities with the advent of the Internet. A reader, John Napsterista, wrote to tell me that this theater has also been torn down.
