I found this young mother with her two children in a laundromat. She looked like she was barely out of her teens. She was a loving mother and her sons adored her. At first, I thought she might be single. When I developed the film, I noticed the wedding ring on her finger. Even in the Uptown of the 1970s, happy, healthy families managed to survive and thrive despite the obstacles.
