Uptown in the 1970’s had a thriving Asian and Indian Community. A reader identified the location of this photo as being on the west side of Sheridan, between Argyle and Carmen. Uptown was not only a melting pot at that time, it was a boiling cauldron of cultures. I have never seen so many different nationalities crammed into such a small neighborhood with the possible exception of the United Nations in New York City.
